Oceane Nicolitch – Personal Profile

I am a soil microbial ecologist, particularly interested in the interactions occurring in soil between microbial communities, nutrient biogeochemical cycles and plants.

Currently, I am working as a Research Associate on a NERC-funded project with Franciska de Vries, Chris Knight and Rob Griffith to develop a trait-based framework for predicting soil microbial community response to extreme climatic events and the consequences for soil functioning.

Previously, I carried out a PhD thesis with Stéphane Uroz and Marie-Pierre Turpault at the French Institute of Agricultural Research in Nancy. There, I studied the impact of nutrient availability on the taxonomic and functional structure of bacterial communities in forest soils.
